SageWest Lander Reopens Medical/Surgical and Intensive Care Units; New Advanced MRI Center Opens at SageWest Riverton

August 30, 2016

Facility enhancements are part of the health system’s ongoing transformation efforts

We are pleased to announce that both the medical/surgical and intensive care units at SageWest Lander have reopened after extensive renovations following the May floods. In addition to these services, the emergency department, women’s health unit and outpatient services – including surgery, radiology, lab, therapies and pharmacy – continue to remain fully operational. Healthcare services at the Riverton campus remain fully operational as well.

“We continue to work with our environmental and facility experts to repair the acute rehabilitation and behavioral health units at SageWest Lander,” said Roy Vinson, interim chief executive officer of SageWest Health Care. “We sincerely appreciate the community’s patience and support as we work hard to bring back these important healthcare services."

In addition to the reopening of the services at Lander, SageWest is pleased to announce a new stateof-the-art MRI center at the Riverton campus. This center includes a new Optima MR450w 1.5 T with GEM Suite coil technology. This advanced imaging system provides a wide bore for added patient comfort, as well as advanced functionality that provides our clinicians the tools needed to make more definitive patient diagnoses.

“SageWest is honored and proud to serve the healthcare needs of our people, our patients and our community,” said Vinson. “We look forward to continuing the delivery of high-quality care to the region.”
