Committed to Your Heart Health
That’s why we’re here.

SageWest provides a wide range of preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic cardiac services. The care you receive is tailored to your individual needs.

The national benchmark for obtaining and interpreting an electrocardiogram (EKG) is 10 minutes. At SageWest, we consistently outperform this standard, which facilitates early diagnosis of a heart attack for patients coming directly to our Emergency Room.

Every minute counts when you're experiencing a heart attack. We maintain high levels of training for all hospital personnel and consistent care for every patient in every department. And we are continually seeking to improve our processes and procedures, ensuring the most up-to-date, evidence-based care.

What it Means to be an Accredited Chest Pain Center

SageWest Health Care has received Chest Pain Center accreditation from the American College of Cardiology, which means we have successfully integrated evidence-based science, quality initiatives, clinical best practices, and the latest medical guidelines into our cardiovascular care. And that means better outcomes for our patients.

Collaborative Pre-Care

Our emergency department is integrated with the local emergency medical system, allowing our team to initiate a STEMI Alert from the field/home, which means significantly faster treatment times for our patients.

Early Heart Attack Care (EHAC)

Each year, about 750,000 people in the U.S. have heart attacks. Of those, about 116,000 die. However, many of these patients experienced early symptoms. Learning how to identify the signs and symptoms of a heart attack could save someone's life and prevent significant heart damage.

EHAC education teaches you to recognize the early signs and symptoms of a heart attack so you can become an active bystander and save a life - even if it’s yours.

Post Cardiac Care

Our cardiac rehab team provides direction for physical activity, education about healthy living and counseling to find ways to relieve stress and improve mental health. The program strengthens your heart and body, helps you build healthier habits, reduces your stress, improves your mood, increases your energy and strength, and lowers your risk for future heart problems. For more information about the SageWest cardiac rehab program, call 307.335.6391.

Make Your Heart Health a Priority

Blood pressure, cholesterol, family history and other factors all play an important role in keeping your heart healthy. If you have questions about your heart health, start with a heart health assessment. Learn more about the risks you may have for heart-related conditions.

Hands-Only CPR

According to the American Heart Association, about 90 percent of people who suffer out-of-hospital cardiac arrests die. CPR, especially if performed immediately, can double or triple a cardiac arrest victim’s chance of survival.

Hands-Only CPR has been shown to be as effective in the first few minutes as conventional CPR for cardiac arrest at home, at work or in public.

Learn how to perform Hands-Only CPR in just two easy steps.

Heart Attack Warning Signs
